Dr. Harry Lehmann is a physicist and systems analyst who began his career in elementary particle physics and numerical physics. His initial studies on climate change led to a switch to applied environmental research.

The focus of his work is the holistic and cross-system search for solutions to the problems of sustainability, particularly linking the thematic complexes of resource and energy transition. As early as the 1990s, he wrote scenarios for 100 percent supply with renewable energies.

For more than 40 years Harry Lehmann has worked in various institutions in the field of energy, resources and the environment, at national and international levels, dealing with politics, administration, associations, companies and science.

Harry Lehmann co-founded or has been involved in various companies such as Naturstrom, atmosfair and organisations including EUROSOLAR and the World Resources Forum.

He is the editor and co-author of numerous publications and has taught at various universities since 1985 (e.g., Leuphana Lüneburg). He has been an active full member of the Club of Rome since 2023.

Currently, he is the founding director of the “PtX Lab Lausitz”. PtX Lab Lausitz aims to support the economy and civil society on their path to net zero emissions. In this role, the Lab will act as a knowledge platform, ideas hub and point of contact for industry, policy and research. The overall aim is to facilitate the market ramp-up for the environmentally safe and sustainable manufacture and use of Power-to-X (PtX) products.
