Dr. Sören Schwuchow

Dr Sören Schwuchow joined the PtX Lab as a policy advisor at the end of 2022. He is an expert on economic policy and regulation for sustainable aviation, with a particular focus on instruments to accelerate the market ramp-up for eSAF.

Prior to joining the Lab, he spent over a decade as a pre- and post-doctoral researcher. His research combined topics from public economics, political economy, and law & economics, including how institutions affect politics (esp. conflict) or how institutions interact with inequality. He has published in journals such as the “European Journal of Political Economy” or “Public Choice” and has presented his research at conferences such as the “Annual Meeting of the American Economic Association” and the “Annual Research Conference” of the EU Commission.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hildesheim and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Potsdam.
