Stefan Sander has been a consultant at the PtX Lab Lausitz since April 2024 and is currently working on a technical comparison of different production routes for the synthesis of sustainably produced synthetic kerosene.

Before joining the PtX Lab Lausitz, Stefan worked as a research assistant at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin at the Institute of Chemistry. There, his research topics included homogeneous catalysis and fluorine chemistry as well as the activation of climate-active sulphur fluorine gases.

Stefan holds a PhD in chemistry. He completed his doctorate with a specialization in general and inorganic chemistry at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. The focus of his dissertation was the control of fluorination reactions by hydrogen bonding in the coordination sphere of platinum-fluorido complexes.
