Felix Schmermer

Felix Schmermer joined the PtX Lab Lausitz in April 2024 as an expert for international law. He coordinates the working group for aviation and the crosscutting working group on regulation and policy. His area of work includes analysing the European legal framework regarding the use of synthetic fuels in aviation and current cross-sectoral political developments.

Prior to joining the PtX Lab Lausitz, he worked as a research associate at the Chair of  International Law, European Law and International Relations at TU Dresden, where he focussed on international criminal law, international environmental law and the protection of cultural heritage.

Felix graduated from the European Law School (LL.B.) and studied International Law (LL.M.) at the Maastricht University. He also completed a Master's degree in Public Policy and Human Development (M.Sc.) at the United Nations University (UNU-MERIT) and Maastricht University.
