Dr Henrik Basche

Dr Henrik Basche has been serving as an Economic Policy Advisor at PtX Lab Lausitz at Zukunft – Umwelt – Gesellschaft gGmbH since January 2026. His work focuses on economic analyses, the development of policy instruments, and stakeholder engagement to support the market ramp‑up of PtX basic materials in the chemical industry.

Before joining PtX Lab Lausitz, Henrik worked for a management consultancy specialised in the chemical and process industries, advising medium‑sized and large companies in reorganisation and sustainability projects.

He studied Economic Geography at Leibniz University Hannover and Utrecht University. Following his master’s degree, he completed his PhD at RWTH Aachen University on factors shaping European cooperation and innovation.
