Josephine Götze

Josephine Goetze has been expert at the PtX Lab Lausitz since January 2024. Her main areas of expertise are European Energy and Trade policy.

Having worked in foreign trade departments of trade associations, she has gained experience in international representation of interests and network management. Most recently, she was involved in the socioeconomic transformation of the former coal region Lusatia as project manager.

She completed a Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Cologne, after obtaining Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Romance Studies at the University of Bonn. Stays abroad took her e.g. to universities in Paris and Madrid and international organisations in New York, Geneva and Strasbourg.

During her studies, she gained experience in policy consultancy at think tanks, such as the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA).
