Valerie Tilker-Kwan

Expert

Valerie Tilker-Kwan has been an expert at the PtX Lab Lausitz since January 2025. She is currently working on the topic of the European Union's ‘Clean Industrial Deal’.

She developed an interest in the emerging hydrogen economy, especially in aspects of sustainability, public perception and the regulatory framework, as part of the Hydrogen Compass team (a cooperation project of acatech and DECHEMA). Other positions prior to the PtX Lab Lausitz were stakeholder dialogues officer at the ‘Energy Systems of the Future - ESYS’ office (acatech) and a student assistant position at Technische Universität Berlin in climate protection and education projects on food waste reduction.

After studies in her native Canada and a teaching stint in Taiwan, she completed a Master's degree in Integrated Natural Resource Management at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with cooperation for municipal climate action as the topic of her Master's thesis. She networks in local initiatives for climate action and post-growth.
