Decarbon Days 2026: PtX Lab Lausitz Helps Shape the Transformation
Decarbon Days 2026 provide a central platform for transforming industrial value chains — the PtX Lab Lausitz is participating as a partner, contributing technical expertise on Power-to-X.
The PtX Lab Lausitz is participating as a partner in the Decarbon Days 2026, which will take place on 24 and 25 June 2026 at the central campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg (BTU).
Following its premiere last year, Decarbon Days 2026 enters its second edition and is establishing itself as a platform for exchange on industrial decarbonization in the Lausitz region. The event brings together stakeholders from industry, science, politics and civil society to discuss innovative technologies, sustainable business models and concrete transformation pathways for energy-intensive industries — set within the context of the first European Net Zero Valley.
As a partner of the event, the PtX Lab Lausitz will be on site together with the Kompetenzzentrum Energie‑Intensive Industrie (KEI). While the PtX Lab Lausitz contributes its expertise in Power-to-X (PtX) technologies and in the development and market introduction of climate-friendly fuels and feedstocks, KEI accompanies the industrial transformation with its focus on climate protection in energy-intensive industries, funding instruments and structural transformation processes.
What to expect
Decarbon Days 2026 offer an ideal platform for professional exchange, networking along industrial value chains, and discussion of practical solutions for a climate-neutral industry. The teams from PtX Lab Lausitz and KEI will be available during the event for conversations about their respective fields of work and current activities.
On the main stage you can expect interviews and panel discussions with representatives from industry, science and politics. The stage program is complemented by an exhibition of relevant partner organizations. On site, Net-Zero tours will provide insights into selected projects in and around Cottbus.
A special feature is the presentation of the Female Energy Award, which recognizes women from East Germany for their outstanding professional commitment in the field of clean energy and industry. In addition, students from universities in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic can work together on concrete decarbonization missions and present their results in live pitches at the Climathon on the second day of the event.
Further information about the event and the program will be published shortly.
