Premiere at the Night of Creative Minds 2025: PtX Lab Lausitz is there

Participants in the Night of Creative Minds 2024 marvel at exhibits at the BTU Cottbus.

How are sustainable fuels for aircraft and ships produced? PtX Lab Lausitz provides insights into its work at the Cottbus Science Festival – to amaze, ask questions and join in the discussion.

On 11 October 2025, it will be that time again: Cottbus will become a stage for ideas, innovations and science at the 17th Night of Creative Minds “NDDK”  (17. Nacht der kreativen Köpfe). Between 6 p.m. and midnight, around 20 companies, universities and institutions will open their doors to give visitors an insight into their work.

The Night of Creative Minds offers an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of various institutions and discover the innovative strength of the city of Cottbus and the region. PtX Lab Lausitz is participating for the first time this year.

Our team will present the Cottbus Think and Do Tank and invite citizens and students to learn more about our projects and our contribution to greenhouse gas neutrality in important industrial sectors.

Innovation you can experience – insights into Power-to-X technology

A miniature model of a PEM electrolyser (proton exchange membrane electrolyser) will be used. An electrolyser is a device that splits water into hydrogen and oxygen through electrolysis.

Our model illustrates the processes and technologies behind the production of sustainable basic materials and fuels. These can make a significant contribution to the environmentally friendly transformation of air and sea transport as well as the chemical industry.

Visit us at the BTU (Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg) campus and we will be happy to inform you about developments in the field of power-to-X and sustainable energy solutions.
