Simplify, Scale, Sustain – Lusatian Think and Do Tank presents sustainability criteria for Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) in Berlin and discusses with experts how regulatory hurdles can be removed.
To mark the publication of the new study by PtX Lab Lausitz entitled ‘Green electricity-based power and raw materials. Sustainability criteria for a fast and secure market ramp-up’, experts in Berlin are discussing how regulatory requirements can be simplified without diminishing their effectiveness.
The study highlights
- the compatibility of sustainability and market requirements,
- ensuring social justice and promoting innovation, taking into account political measures,
- financing and international cooperation.
The aim is to create a pragmatic, scalable and fair market for green fuels and raw materials. This includes renewable fuels of non-biological origin – hydrogen and its derivatives – known as RFNBO (Renewable Fuels of Non Biological Origin).
