Think and Do Tank presents animated film on sustainable fuels made from green hydrogen, explaining why power-to-liquid is crucial for a greenhouse gas neutral future.
PtX Lab Lausitz has released its new animated film ‘Power-to-Liquid: Sustainable Fuels from Green Hydrogen’. The film, produced as a 2D/3D animation, shows how sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) are produced from green hydrogen.
The animated film illustrates the details of power-to-liquid (PtL) production and shows the many possible applications of this technology. It demonstrates how PtL can contribute to greenhouse gas emissions in sectors such as aviation, the chemical industry and shipping.
Why is Power-to-Liquid important?
- Renewable energy for all sectors: PtL enables the use of electricity from renewable energies in various sectors.
- Resource-efficient: PtL pilot plants use less water and land than biofuels.
- Fossil-free future: PtL pilot plants offer a clean alternative to conventional fossil fuel plants.
- Sustainability and scalability: The technology can be applied worldwide, taking into account sustainability criteria.
The ‘PtX Lab Lausitz - Think-and-Do-Tank for Power and Basic Materials from Green Hydrogen’ based in Cottbus plays a central role on the road to greenhouse gas emissions neutrality. It advises industry, politics and science through interdisciplinary cooperation and cross-sectoral approaches. In doing so, it collects knowledge and creates synergies to enable the transition to sustainable energy sources.
