In the PtX Lab Position AccelerateEU: Accelerated Measures for Energy Security Are Urgently Required, PtX Lab Lausitz sets out an initial response to the European Commission’s communication “AccelerateEU – Energy Union: Affordable and Secure Energy through Accelerated Action”.
At the heart of the statement are five recommendations to strengthen Europe’s energy security through Power-to-X:
- stronger coordination between Member States and international partners;
- support for Member States in protecting consumers and industry from price shocks;
- acceleration of homegrown clean energy and electrification;
- strengthening of the energy system; and
- increased public and private investment in the energy transition.
