Sophie Kamrad

Sophie Kamrad joined the PtX Lab Lausitz as an expert in October 2024. She focus on European and international climate and energy policy.

Before joining the PtX Lab Lausitz, she worked in local politics and advocacy and has experience in Brussels politics through working at the German Federal Foreign Office and an NGO.

Building on her Master's degree in European Studies from the Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), she recently completed a postgraduate Master in EU International Relations and Diplomacy at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. In her master's thesis, she investigated external and internal factors explaining why the European Union will likely fall short on its import targets for green hydrogen by 2030. The yet to emerge European market played a central role in this.
