PtX Lab Lausitz joins SASHA Coalition to promote green hydrogen in the shipping and aviation industries

Competence centre actively involved in decision-making on the future use of alternative fuels in the mobility sector.
The PtX Lab Lausitz has joined the SASHA Coalition, that brings together green shipping and aviation companies to advocate for policy that supports the use of green hydrogen-based decarbonisation solutions in these hard-to-electrify sectors.
The ‘Skies and Seas Hydrogen-fuels Accelerator Coalition (SASHA)’ was founded to raise awareness of the crucial role of green hydrogen and carbon dioxide from direct air capture, in zero emission solutions and net-zero fuels such as e-kerosene, methanol and ammonia, which are needed to decarbonise shipping and aviation.
The SASHA Coalition’s membership is made up of bold companies at the forefronts of producing green solutions in their respective sectors. The coalition brings their voices to policymakers to ensure decarbonisation strategies focus on the solutions that have the greatest potential to reduce emissions.

In order to reduce emissions from air and sea transport, fossil fuels must be replaced by sustainable, greenhouse gas-neutral alternatives. This can only be achieved with the right political framework. The transport sector must be included.
PtX Lab Lausitz's SASHA membership enables intensive cooperation with industry and companies as well as a clear focus on political decision-makers.
In order to achieve the climate targets of the mobility sector and drive the market ramp-up of sustainable fuels, the technologies and infrastructure must be developed and scaled up now. This requires cooperation and partnership at a global and cross-sectoral level.
In addition, both the SASHA Coalition and PtX Lab Lausitz focus on the use of green hydrogen (and fuels produced from it).
