Fit for Zero – Climate-neutral European aviation in 2050
PtX Lab Briefing | 09/2024 | Topic: Aviation | 13 Pages
Climate-neutral European aviation by the middle of the century is possible. However, this goal can only be realistically achieved if decisive and far-reaching measures are implemented immediately. This is the conclusion drawn by the staff of PtX Lab Lausitz in their publication Fit for Zero – Climate-neutral European aviation by 2050.
They examined European climate protection efforts and concluded that the EU's current measures are insufficient to achieve climate-neutral aviation. This underscores the necessity of additional and more ambitious measures in both Germany and Europe to make the target attainable.
