Anja Paumen

Anja Paumen has been a specialist at the PtX Lab since July 2022. She covers the subjects resource consumption and sustainable production of synthetic fuels. She previously worked as a freelance science journalist and author for around ten years.

Her two books on climate change were published by Oekomverlag (2015, 2021). During this time, she gave lectures on climate change and was involved in various committees for climate protection at municipal (cities, districts) and state level (Heinrich Böll Foundation).

Anja studied biology (diploma) at the Free University of Berlin with a stay abroad at Tulane University in New Orleans. After her studies, she worked for science editorial offices in television and radio stations of the ARD (public broadcasting in Germany) and reported on medicine, science and environmental topics for a broad public.

She also worked in the communications department of scientific institutes and research companies before devoting herself to the fields of climate change and climate policy as a freelance author.
