Dr Sarah Bernhardt has been part of PtX Lab Lausitz since April 2024. From February until August 2025, she was strengthening the management team of the PtX Lab Lausitz as its acting deputy head. Since September 2025, she has been Head of Section PtX Basic Materials.
In her previous positions, Sarah worked in science communication for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research-initiative “InnoTruck” and was a research assistant at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Sarah is a chemist. She completed her doctorate at the Interdisciplinary Center for Molecular Materials at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Her dissertation focused on self-assembly strategies for the design of multicomponent organic-inorganic hybrid catalysts in solution.
