Florian Mersmann

Florian Mersmann joined the technology division of PtX Lab Lausitz in June. His work focuses on the analysis of relevant policies and strategies, as well as the development and communication of recommendations for action in this field, aimed at promoting and accelerating the market introduction of PtX technologies at local, national and international levels.

Florian has worked at the Wuppertal Institute, ZUG, the Berlin Governance Platform and E3G on international climate and energy policy and its implementation. His topics included promoting transformative change through the targeted use of climate finance, the formulation and implementation of national climate action plans and long-term strategies, as well as recommendations for effective climate action in Germany and other industrialised and emerging economies.

Florian studied Politics and Public Administration at the University of Potsdam. In his spare time, he works as a volunteer at a small charity, repairing bicycles for refugees.
