Nils Fuchs

Expert

Nils Fuchs has been working as an Expert at the PtX Lab Lausitz since September 2022. His focus is on the sustainability of green hydrogen and PtX, and he coordinates the corresponding team. He also represents the PtX Lab Lausitz in the Working Group for sustainability criteria for hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives at the German Institute for Standardization (DIN). Additionally, he works in the field of chemical industry and analyzes international potentials, regulations, and the economic market ramp-up.

Before joining the PtX Lab Lausitz, Nils Fuchs worked at the International PtX Hub of GIZ in the area of international market ramp-up for green hydrogen. Previous positions took him to Fraunhofer FMD, where he worked in business development, as well as to the photovoltaic and battery storage department of an energy supply company, where he was working in process management.

During his Bachelor's studies in Industrial Engineering with a major in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt, he conducted a quantitative analysis on the acceptance of wind turbines in his thesis, aiming at the overarching goal of greenhouse gas neutrality. He then completed his Master's degree in Industrial Engineering with a major in Energy and Resources at the Technical University of Berlin.
