Torsten Schroeter

Torsten Schroeter has been an expert at the PtX Lab Lausitz since August 2026, focusing on electricity and hydrogen grids.

After studying mechanical engineering and working as a research associate at Chemnitz University of Technology for three years, he joined Samsung Corning Deutschland GmbH. There, he led teams like the maintenance department and was responsible for implementing new management methods, optimizing production processes, and managing projects.

Upon moving to GMB Glasmanufaktur Brandenburg GmbH, he initially headed the maintenance department before taking charge of production and technical department. He served as Managing Director, with overall responsibility for the company, for five years. Most recently, he worked as a Technical Project Manager at Referenzkraftwerk Lausitz GmbH, where he was involved in planning an innovative hydrogen power plant.

A native of Spremberg, he is also socially active in his hometown, serving as a co-opted citizen member of the municipal finance committee and participating in the association "Pro Lausitz e. V."
