With the DAC² Innovation Platform, PtX Lab Lausitz promotes exchange, connects stakeholders, addresses key challenges and fosters technical discussions for the market ramp-up of DAC.
The new exchange platform for Direct Air Capture (DAC) marks the start of a multi-part series of events organised by PtX Lab Lausitz. Through a series of interlinked formats, key players from industry, politics, research and practice will be brought together to jointly discuss challenges and potential solutions along the DAC value chain.
The focus is on technical, regulatory and economic issues surrounding the ramp-up of DAC. The event series aims to help systematically identify existing hurdles, provide technical impetus and derive topics for in-depth follow-up formats.
Please note: The DAC2 Innovation Platform is a closed event for network members. If you are interested in attending, please contact marvin.wenzel@z-u-g.org or lorena.tafur(at)z-u-g.org.

In-person event on 16 October 2026
The PtX Lab Lausitz invites all members of the DAC² Innovation Platform to its first in-person meeting on 16 October 2026. The theme of the in-person event is ‘Making DAC Projects Happen: Framework Conditions and Implementation Pathways’. The focus will be on the opportunities the current environment offers for joint projects. The focus will be on policy frameworks and regulations, funding requirements and support schemes, as well as theoretical and practical aspects of project development.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore these topics in depth during a half-day workshop. The aim is to identify areas for collaboration between members and to define the prerequisites for a future DAC project pipeline. This can help to accelerate the deployment of DAC.
The event also provides an opportunity for networking and exchange. A visit to the company Ucaneo is planned to round off the event. There, participants will gain insights into a specific DAC implementation project in Berlin.
