PtX Lab Lausitz engages in discussions with Brandenburg’s Economic Affairs Minister Martina Klement and presents its range of services at its exhibition stand.
How can we make our energy infrastructure fit for the future? And what role do these developments play, particularly in the state of Brandenburg? These and other key questions about the future were the focus of Brandenburg Energy Day 2026 on June 3. PtX Lab Lausitz participated as an exhibitor at this traditional annual gathering of Brandenburg’s energy sector.
Located on the central campus of Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg, the Lab presented itself with its own exhibition stand. Martina Klement, Brandenburg’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Climate Action and Europe, visited the stand to exchange views with representatives of PtX Lab Lausitz. During her tour, she was welcomed by Dr. Stefan Günthner, Head of the PtX Technology Department, who provided insights into the Lab’s current work.
Demonstrating the Potential of Hydrogen and Wind Power
Throughout the day, the staff of PtX Lab Lausitz answered questions not only about the Lab itself but also about its current projects and key topics. Using a miniature electrolyzer, they explained the basic principles of hydrogen production, illustrating the significance and advantages of Power-to-X technologies. On both large and small screens, the team also showcased Brandenburg’s potential for generating renewable energy.
Located in Exhibition Area B in front of the Cottbus Audimax, PtX Lab Lausitz shared a joint exhibition stand this year with the Competence Centre on Climate Change Mitigation in Energy-Intensive Industries (KEI), another division of Zukunft – Umwelt – Gesellschaft (ZUG) gGmbH.
Exhibition, Panel Discussion, Expert Forums and More
This year’s Brandenburg Energy Day focused on “innovative technologies and best practices” related to the development of energy infrastructure, particularly in Brandenburg. The event brought together numerous experts and exhibiting organizations. In addition to the trade exhibition, the program included four expert forums and a keynote session, all aligned with the event’s central themes.
The opening address was delivered by Martina Klement, Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Climate Action and Europe of the State of Brandenburg. She also participated in the day’s panel discussion entitled: “How Can We Future-Proof Our Energy Infrastructure?”
