PtX Lab Talk #18: Agri-PV and Green Hydrogen – A Double Yield for Lusatia

The PtX Lab Lausitz explores how Lusatia can become a model region for climate-neutral energy sources through agri-photovoltaics and green hydrogen.

Lusatia is in the process of undergoing profound change: the phase-out of lignite, increasing drought caused by the advancing climate crisis, and conflicts over land use between the expansion of renewable energy and agriculture call for new solutions. How can the region safeguard agricultural land whilst also becoming a model region for climate-neutral energy sources?

At PtX Lab Talk #18Agri-PV und grüner Wasserstoff – Doppelte Ernte für die Lausitz’ (english: Agri-PV and Green Hydrogen – A Double Yield for Lusatia), taking place on 25 June 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:45 am, we will be seeking answers both in person in Cottbus and via a live stream, with a particular focus on dual land use.

Join us in discussing the role of agri-photovoltaics (Agri-PV) – that is, the simultaneous production of food and solar energy – as a key component in the economic transformation of Lusatia and the expansion of regional power-to-X value chains.
