Can PtX show ways forward through the complexities of our current global challenges? For the first time, the Sustainable PtX Conference is bringing together research, politics and industry. Save the date now.
From Crisis to Opportunity: Scaling PtX in a Changing World
We live in times of interconnected global crises: Accelerating climate change, geopolitical conflict, global food and energy market volatility, biodiversity loss and resource scarcity all threaten to derail defossilisation efforts and to diminish humanity’s chances at building prosperity within planetary boundaries. These issues will be the focus of the Sustainable PtX Conference ‘From Crisis to Opportunity: Scaling PtX Amid Global Challenges’, taking place on 26 and 27 November 2026 in Cottbus.
Power-to-X (PtX) is more than just a technology. It is a strategic lever – for energy security, industrial transformation and a resilient Europe.
What to expect?
For the first time, the Sustainable PtX Conference is bringing together researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society actors to discuss how the market introduction and scaling of PtX fuels and materials can show ways forward through the complexities of our current global challenges.
Plenary talks, panel discussions and interactive sessions offer interdisciplinary insights into the most pressing issues of our time:
- Strategic responses: What strategic answers can sector coupling and PtX technologies provide for the multiple crises of our time?
- Climate & Resilience: In what ways can PtX contribute to climate and environmental protection, economic growth and resilience against geopolitical threats?
- Global scaling: How can a rapid global market ramp-up of sustainable PtX fuels and materials be realised under these complex conditions?
- Hard-to-abate sectors: What are the challenges in deploying green-hydrogen based fuels and materials in hard-to-abate sectors such as the chemical industry, aviation, and shipping?
Come to Cottbus and help shape the response.
Who is this conference aimed at?
The conference is aimed at everyone involved in the transformation of our energy systems: researchers, policymakers and industry representatives. Whether you work with hydrogen technologies, help shape regulatory frameworks or support industrial transformation processes – this is where you’ll meet the people who will make this transformation a success.
You will be able to register shortly.
