CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2026: PtX Lab Lausitz in dialogue on defossilisation
Copyright: nova-Institut
The CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference is considered an international meeting point for Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) and Power-to-X. This year, the PtX Lab Lausitz will be present with its own booth.
Organised by the nova-Institute, the CO2 based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2026 has established itself as one of the world's leading platforms for the use of CO2 as a feedstock. It brings together leading stakeholders from industry, research, and politics to drive the transformation away from fossil carbon towards renewable solutions. The focus is on technologies and strategies for Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) and Power-to-X applications, which are essential for a sustainable circular economy in the chemical and fuel industries.
The PtX Lab Lausitz is represented at the event with an exhibition booth (No. 17), where it will present four posters. In addition, Anita Demuth, Head of PtX Mobility, will give a presentation on 28 April at 3:50 p.m. on the topic of "Onboard Carbon Capture and Usage (OCCU) for PtX Fuels".
What to expect
- Professional Exchange and Networking: The conference offers an ideal platform for discussing practical solutions for a defossilised industry. The PtX Lab Lausitz team is available at its own booth for discussions on current activities.
- Impulse from the PtX Lab Lausitz: Under the title “Onboard Carbon Capture and Usage (OCCU) for PtX Fuels” Anita Demuth, Head of PtX Mobility at PtX Lab Lausitz, will present the techno-economic aspects of OCCU, key challenges and circular value chains.
- Poster Session: During the poster session on the first day of conference, Dr Irina Akhmetova will present a poster on the topic “Turning Emission to Feedstock: Mapping Europe's CO2 Market for Fuels and Chemicals”. You can find out more about other key topics from the PtX Lab Lausitz at our stand (No. 17)
